3 C's of the 2021 Seafood Fest
Can you believe it’s that time again? Get ready for an entire day of fun for every age and every pallet at the 29th Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show presented by the City of Orange Beach and the Makos Academics Arts & Athletics Club (MAAAC) this Saturday, February 27th from 10 am – 4 pm.
Or, if you've never attended and need a handful of attractive reasons to make the short trek over, we've highlighted a few in particular that are sure to “c-ment” your decision!
The name alone spells it out for ya: SEAFOOD! Main Street will be filled with mouth-watering bites like po'boys, bisque, gumbo, crab cakes, tacos, shrimp, catfish and oysters. Beebe’s Pest + Termite Control is going to be boiling up some crawfish for purchase, too. Or maybe you prefer turf to surf options? Don't sweat it! Chicken, sausage, kettle corn and heaps of lip-smacking sides like gooey mac and cheese will be available to delve into. Our onsite restaurants will be open and serving up their famous delights as well. Words of advice: come hungry!
There will be plenty to see, feel, smell and, hopefully, buy! These arts and craft booths will be displaying everything from hand-made jewelry, clothing, ceramics, wooden creations, candles, crocheted items and artwork galore. You can converse with painters, photographers and mixed media artists, all in one location!
Speaking of works of art, it will be impossible to miss the picturesque bunch of antique, classic, and hot rods parked on Main Street. The gamut of collectable vehicles displayed will be as wildly diverse as it is breathtaking. It doesn't matter if you aren't necessarily a car buff — sometimes a little eye candy is just good for the soul!
4. BONUS: Cause
How could we leave out the best part? This annual festival is MAAAC’s largest fundraiser of the year. We’re asking folks to donate $2 per vehicle for parking. The proceeds raised support the local children and schools in Orange Beach. It is always nice to attend an event for the enjoyment and atmosphere, but it's even better to participate when that affair is serving a greater purpose!
There will also be live music and entertainment on two stages for folks to enjoy. Admission is FREE!
Please note, your safety is of utmost importance to us here at The Wharf. Because of that, The Wharf is encouraging all guests to adhere to social distancing and facial covering guidelines. We ask that you come out, have fun and keep back six feet. Air high fives are encouraged when you see your friends at the event. For your convenience, we have also added hand sanitizer stations throughout the property. We want all visitors to feel safe when they visit The Wharf!
We can’t wait to “c” you … here!
