5 Halloween Must-Do’s (or Boos) at The Wharf

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Halloween – at The Wharf! We’ve been eagerly waiting to (mummy) wrap up October with treat-filled flair. Boys and ghouls, we have quite the potion for you!

If you’ve got that spooktacular spirit and nowhere to flaunt it, curse not! Check out these hauntingly good happenings at The Wharf for your delight and fright.

Pick a Pumpkin at Burris Farm Market
Open Monday-Friday; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

What’s Halloween without a hand-carved Jack-O-Lantern perched on the porch or mantle? Seasonal pumpkins of all varieties, large and small, are ripe for the choosing at Burris Farm Market. It’s never too late to pick your “great pumpkin” like Charlie Brown and get to crafting.

Don’t forget to make a mess in the process! (Moms and dads, you can disregard that last part…)

Spooky Movie on The Lawn
Saturday, October 28th at 2 p.m.

Grab your Nimbus 2000 broomstick and fly on over for a day of epic fall family fun! There will be “trick-or-treat” pit stops at participating locations on-site, so come early while the gettin’ is good!

After you load up the candy sack, rest those weary feet while getting your face painted! Heck, ride a pony while you’re at it, or hop on a hayride provided by Kutter’s Landscaping. If you’re already feeling that sugar kick, jump it off in the bounce house instead.

Once dusk settles in, you’ll want to get settled in as well on the Marina Lawn. Bring your blankets and chairs for a wizardly viewing of Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone. Free buttery nibbles of popcorn will be provided by AMC Theatres, as well as complimentary mug-gles of hot cocoa from our pals at The Southern Grind.

The Intracoastal Kids Costume Party
Saturday, October 28th at 5:30 p.m.

Whether it’s something scary or sparkled, dress the kiddos in costume from head-to-toe and BOOgie over to The Intracoastal for a grand costume celebration. Watch as the youngins parade across the stage in all of their disguised glory to receive sweets and prizes. This won’t be your typical contest though. Every junior ghost and goblin is a winner!

Halloween Street Party
Saturday, Oct. 28th at 6 p.m.

If you are on a quest for more adult-centered Halloween enjoyment, don’t miss the Street Party that will be in full swing between Our Cigar Bar and Island Time Daiquiris. Pick your poison from the cauldron of brew specials and do the Monster Mash to live music all evening long.

Think you have what it takes to shock the competition? Dress to thrill or kill and register for the costume contest with prizes totaling over $1,000. Eat, drink, and be scary!

Trunk R’ Treat
Tuesday, October 31st at 6 p.m.

There is absolutely no junk in our trunk. Only gobs and gobs of candy!

Sponsored by Christian Life Church, Trunk R’ Treat is a family-friendly event that will literally shut down the street. Main Street, to be exact. Scatter along in a safe environment, from car to truck, and fill your bags to the brim!

What’s that you say? You’d like to ride a camel in your Batman costume? Wish granted! There will be camel rides, face painting, costume contests, and much more. Bring the tricks, we’ll supply the rest.
