Burris Farm Market Opening in May

May 1, 2017

A quintessential stop on the Gulf Coast for over 25 years, Burris Farm Market is officially planting roots in Orange Beach, Alabama. Previously occupying a pop-up location on the south end of The Wharf proved to be just a herald of bigger things to come. According to owner Rick Stewart, the formal move to the area has been a long-aspiring goal. “This has been a lifetime dream of mine. When my dad and I drove by the site back in 1986, the exact place we are building now, he said, ‘Rick, this is a great spot to have a business one day!’ Here I am, 31 years later and I know he would be proud.”

Sted McCollough, owner and lead architect of McCollough Architecture, Inc., shares in Stewart’s enthusiasm. “The addition of the Burris landmark will be a great addition to The Wharf and we are excited to be a part of this project. The design of the 6,000 square foot building is intended to be a simple, open-air structure with a casual market feel. While the design and architecture is intended to complement the existing fabric of The Wharf development, the real impact will be the quality and product that Burris will provide to our area.”

Renowned for their locally grown, straight from the farm variety of in-season fruits and veggies, the new space will also feature a bakery with unique specialty preserves, breads, a delectable assortment of homemade cobblers, fresh deli salads and plenty more

The official grand opening will be held on Thursday, May 25th at 8 am.
