Memorial Day Weekend at The Wharf

May 22, 2019

Summer is the perfect time of year here on the Gulf Coast. Our beaches are beautiful, our weather is delightful, and the people are full of Southern hospitality. And here at The Wharf, we like to keep things lively, so we’re kicking our summer off during Memorial Day Weekend!

If you are looking to fill your weekend with excitement, then you’ve come to the right place! Here’s a breakdown for the fun-filled weekend we’ve got in store so you’ll have the perfect field guide for your three-day weekend:

Friday, May 24 – Pepsi Beach Ball Drop

Have you ever seen 5,000 beach balls fall from the sky? You will have the perfect opportunity to do just that this Friday at 6:25pm! Not only can you catch a cool Pepsi beach ball—a few of them will have stickers, and those stickers can be redeemed for amazing prizes!

What makes this event even better? It’s free to attend! Just show up, have fun, and catch beach balls! There will also be other family-friendly activities like petting an adorable kangaroo, playing in the Bubble Zone, or battling your best friend on the Toxic Battle Jousting Zone! End this great summer night with a bang by sticking around and watching the fireworks show presented by Beachball Properties at 8:45pm.

Saturday & Sunday, May 25 & 26 – Thomas Rhett in Concert

You have two chances to see Thomas Rhett in concert during Memorial Day Weekend! What better way to spend an evening than listening to this country music superstar live? Plus, not only do you get to hear Thomas Rhett, you get to see Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson, and Rhett Akins! Talk about a night filled with great music, fantastic friends, and countless memories.

Tickets are still on sale, so get them while you can!

Monday, May 27 – Sparks After Dark

Monday is the official beginning of our So. Much. Summer. events, where we do something exciting every night of the week all summer long! Before you have to go back to adulting, give your long weekend one more memory for the books at our Sparks After Dark fireworks show! Sit back, relax, drink a cold beverage, and watch the night sky light up with beautiful red, white, and blue colors in honor of our fallen heroes.

If you’ll be in Orange Beach this summer, we’ll be doing Sparks After Dark every Monday night. Why wait to watch fireworks on Independence Day when you can watch them every week at The Wharf? Check out our monthly calendar to see what other fun, free activities the whole family can enjoy Tuesday through Sunday.
