5 Fun Things To Do in February

‘Tis the season for love, so raise your hand if you LOVE to have a good time. (*hand raise*) It may be considered the off-season around here, but our calendar of events sure doesn’t reflect that!

We’ve rounded up a few suggestions for a day (or night) filled with events that you’ll remember (and repeat) for years to come.

1. Winter Showcase Series – Weekdays through February 25th

• Join us for a free, educational series in The Port now through February 25th. The showcase highlights a variety of local interests, such as military history, nature, cooking and local artisans. 2. Valentine’s Day Celebrations – All month long

• Mother + Son Valentine’s Dinner at Ginny Lane Bar & Grill – February 6

• Valentine’s Day Weekend Horse + Carriage Rides – February 11-14
  • Can you think of a cuter idea? You’ll can be sure to sweeten the night with a horse-drawn carriage ride — happening nightly February 11th through Valentine’s Day.

3. Wigwacker Party or Karaoke at Sandshaker – Dates vary

• Whether you want to entertain or be entertained, Sandshaker has both options. They’re wiggin’ out on February 12thwith Hollard playing live on stage, prizes for the best wigs and $5 drink specials. Not your thing? Then you can be the life of the party every Tuesday and Thursday at Karaoke with Kelly from 8 pm until midnight all month long. And, as always, there is no cover charge which means no excuses.

4. 30^th Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival + Car Show – Saturday, February 19

• Need we say more? It’s the festival we all love ‘round this time each year hosted by the City of Orange Beach and the Mako’s Academics, Arts & Athletics Club (MAAAC). Start your engines and bring the whole family out to enjoy arts and crafts, specialty food vendors and dozens of hot rod and classic vehicles on February 19th.

5. MoonPies on Main Mardi Gras Kid + Pet and Float Parades – February 28

• It’s time to sit back, relax and “let the good times roll” at our annual Mardi Gras kid + pet and float parades. The spectacle will feature something for all to enjoy and collect festive throws — even your furry friends.
