The Wharf Turns Pink for Month-Long Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

The Wharf in Orange Beach has turned pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The entry fountain and palms down Main Street will shine bright to show solidarity for the cause. In partnership with Pink Heals and Living for a Dream, which focus on supporting women and their families. The Wharf and its tenants will collect donations and show support with various contests including door decorations and pink-inspired outfits.

“We couldn’t be happier to partner with Pink Heals and Living for a Dream to help empower women and support the fight for a cure,” said Sheena Mizell, Marketing Director at The Wharf. “October is an exciting month at The Wharf, and we welcome visitors and locals alike to join us for all of the events this season.”

Girls Night Out
Oct. 20, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
The night will start at Southern Grind with swag bags and giveaways. Retailers throughout the property will offer storewide discounts, buy one, get one free deals and gifts with purchase.

In addition, there will be food and drink specials at multiple locations throughout the property. Door prizes will be announced at the close of the night at Ginny Lane Bar & Grill where you can also enjoy a PINKtini at the ‘Martini’s & Mammo’s’ event and learn about the importance of mammograms, digital mammography, ultrasound and bone density from South Baldwin Regional Medical Center Women's Imaging Center.

Spooky Movie on the Lawn
Oct. 22, 6 p.m.
The Marina Lawn will be fall festive with hayrides - courtesy of Kutter’s Landscaping – and pony rides prior to the showing of Hotel Transylvania 2 at 7:30 p.m. There will be free popcorn and hot chocolate provided by Carmike Cinemas and The Southern Grind.

Trunk ‘R Treat
Oct. 31, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
This Halloween alternative sponsored by The Christian Life Church is a great opportunity for the entire family to show off their costumes in a safe, family-friendly environment. Main Street will be lined with treats and kids activities including: pony rides ($5), camel rides (5), a bouncy house and, of course, SPECTRA Sound & Light Spectacular. Everyone will also receive $1 off per Ferris wheel ride.
